Poor Product Sampling?
No Better Than No Sampling

"Quality is not an act, it is a habit." Automatic sampling of your product is key to maintaining quality, but how do you safely and consistently extract representative samples?

Many challenges face accurate industrial sampling:
  • Material flow properties
  • Moisture
  • Aeration
  • Contamination
  • Space limitations
Selecting the right industrial sampling equipment involves a complete understanding of your product and the external factors of your process.

InterSystems designs and manufactures industrial sampling systems for a variety of applications. They are used in both gravity and pneumatic lines and can be installed in chutes or at the end and middle of moving belts.

Product Line Samplers

Designed for applications with materials ranging from microscopic powders to large granules and pellets.
  • Gravity or pneumatic conveying systems (positive or negative, dense or dilute phase)
  • May be mounted in vertical or horizontal lines, spouts or chutes.
The sample tube enters the product stream, collects a sample, retracts and deposits the sample by means of a stainless steel polished auger to the collection system. A close-tolerance polished auger provides excellent clean-out. Standard construction includes an aluminum seal housing, stainless steel sample tube and auger and Teflon pressure seals.

Pit Samplers

Samples fines and small or large particles.
  • Works with abrasive materials.
  • Minimum headroom.
  • May be mounted in chutes, hoppers, at belt end or head chutes.
While fully extended, the sample tube rotates 270 degrees, taking a representative sample through the product stream. The sample tube then retracts out of the product stream, into the sampler housing and deposits the sample into the discharge. The sample tube can be driven pneumatically or hydraulically.

Belt End Samplers

Sample delivery by gravity or pneumatics.
  • Internal access for serviceability
  • Rugged heavy gauge steel construction
  • Heavy duty drive components
  • Abrasion-resistant liners at all wear points
  • Replaceable cutter blades.
These models are designed as "drop-in" models or as complete discharge hoods. The pelican rests behind the dust seal and out of the material stream when not operating. Drives can be electric, pneumatic or hydraulic.

Gravity Chute Samplers

Collects samples of free flowing materials, including granules, powders and pellets, from gravity flow chutes. Easy installation and simple operation.
  • Adjustable sampling frequency with automatic or manual operation
  • Drives can be electric, pneumatic or hydraulic.
  • Can be mounted in a sloped or vertical gravity chute
  • Minimum space requirement.
When activated, the slotted, stainless steel sample tube enters the product stream and takes a sample. The sample then flows by gravity to a sealed container. When not sampling, the sample tube is retracted and out of the product stream.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

"If I'm an advocate for anything, it's to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean or simply across the river. The extent to which you can walk in someone else's shoes or at least eat their food, it's a plus for everybody. Open your mind, get up off the couch, move."
